Material Conveyors

There is various type of conveyors used to convey the material horizontally up to max 22 deg inclination. Various type of conveyors with inherent speciality are as follows:

  • Belt Conveyors - Rubber Belt, PVC Belt
  • Roller Conveyors - Gravity & Powered Conveyors
  • Slat Conveyors - Polymeric & Metal Slats
  • Collapsible Conveyors - Metallic rollers on the wheel
  • Truck loading conveyor - PVC Belt, Rubber Belt
  • Magnetic Belt Conveyors – Large Permanent Magnet or a series of electromagnets
  • Cleated Conveyor - Rubber belt cleated
  • Chevron Type Conveyor - Rubber belt Chevron type cleat
  • Screw Conveyor

Belt Conveyors

Belt conveyors are among the most common conveyor types. They consist of a continuous loop of material (the belt) that is driven by rollers or pulleys. Rubber belts are durable and resistant to abrasion, while PVC belts are lighter and more flexible.

Roller Conveyors

Roller conveyors use cylindrical rollers placed horizontally to facilitate the movement of items. Gravity conveyors use the force of gravity to move items, while powered conveyors use motors to drive the rollers.

Thumb

Slat Conveyors

Slat conveyors use slats, typically made from polymeric or metal materials, attached to a chain. These slats provide a stable surface for transporting items that are not suitable for belt conveyors.

Thumb

Collapsible Conveyors

Collapsible conveyors feature metallic rollers mounted on wheels and can be expanded or contracted as needed. These conveyors are portable and flexible, making them ideal for applications where space is a constraint.

Thumb

Magnetic Belt Conveyors

These conveyors utilize a large permanent magnet or a series of electromagnets beneath the conveyor belt to attract and hold ferrous materials. This ensures that metal items do not fall off the belt.

Thumb

Cleated Conveyor

Cleated conveyors feature vertical cleats or barriers attached to the belt, helping to hold materials in place during inclined transport. These are particularly useful for preventing rollback of products.

Thumb

Chevron Type Conveyor

Chevron conveyors have a patterned surface on the belt with a V-shaped cleat that helps to grip and move materials upwards on an incline. This design is particularly effective for moving bulk materials at steep angles.

Thumb

Screw Conveyor

Screw conveyors use a rotating helical screw blade, also known as an auger, within a tube to move liquid or granular materials. The screw rotates within a fixed tube, moving materials along its length.

Thumb

Truck Loading Conveyor

Truck loading conveyors are specialized conveyors designed to load and unload trucks efficiently. These conveyors can often be extended, retracted, and adjusted in height to reach different levels within the truck.

Each type of conveyor system has its unique characteristics and is selected based on the specific needs of the operation, including the type of material to be moved, the required speed, and the environmental conditions.
